Welcome to the Santa Fe Harmonizers!
The Santa Fe Harmonizers barbershop chorus is open to people of high school age and up, of any gender, in the Santa Fe, New Mexico, area. SFH was founded in 1983 and chartered in 1984 by the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA), commonly known as the Barbershop Harmony Society. Vocal parts are tenor (alto/tenor 1), lead (tenor 1/2), baritone, and bass. We are continuously recruiting singers for our non-audition chorus. If you can carry a tune, you’re welcome to join us. We sing acapella, close 4-part harmony in the barbershop style. Musical genres range from traditional barbershop favorites, folk songs, gospel, pop/rock, and even Broadway show tunes. You don’t even have to be able to read music to sing barbershop, though it doesn’t hurt. We provide sheet music AND audio learning tracks on CD or online. If you can carry a tune, please consider visiting us on Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. at Zia United Methodist Church. We’re especially looking for more tenors (falsetto/countertenor/alto) and baritones. Our rehearsal site is shown below.
Our first fall concerts since 2019 will be held October 20-21! See Latest News for details.
